Shaun was a Bay Area native who graduated from Pinole Valley High School as the Senior Class President in 1996. Through his encouragement and strong work ethic, he inspired his friends every day. Shaun combined his altruistic and journalistic passion at a young age, becoming involved with the PVHS Youth Commission and designed the PVHS Senior Times Newsletter.
Shaun advanced his education at California State University, Sacramento where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. While at California State University, Sacramento, he was elected Chair of the California State Student Association which serves as the statewide student body government for all the 23 campuses of the California State University system. Shaun moved to Long Beach, California and continued to impact lives in the community by serving as a member of nearly a dozen non-profit board of directors and as Vice President of Government Affairs for the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. He then started his Chamber Advocacy consulting business as a public policy consultant and co-founded an online publication, Long Beach Post.
On December 3, 2011 while on a business trip in Florida, a drowsy driver had fallen asleep behind the wheel and hit the passenger area of the car where Shaun was sitting. Tragically he died from his injuries at the young age of 33 leaving behind his wife, family and friends who miss him dearly.
